Romanian hospitals receive multi‑million‑lei upgrades of medical equipment

The County Clinical Emergency Hospital “Saint John the New” in Suceava has been equipped with modern medical devices worth more than 3.2 million lei for its neurosurgery and rehabilitation sections. The new gear includes robotic systems that assist patients in walking and in restoring arm function, enhancing surgical precision and post‑operative recovery.

The County Hospital in Timișoara has invested over 35 million lei, financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, to purchase sterilisation, air‑filtration and disinfection equipment, a new microbiology laboratory, a mobile CT scanner, a mobile X‑ray unit and hand‑hygiene monitoring systems. These purchases aim to lower infection risks, speed up diagnosis and improve overall patient care.

Both projects are part of broader European and national funding programmes intended to modernise Romania’s healthcare infrastructure and improve treatment outcomes.
