Constanța advances Madrid Boulevard project to execution phase
The technical documentation for the "Madrid Boulevard" investment in the Tomis Plus district of Constanța has been submitted for expert verification. After the preliminary review, the project’s technical and economic indicators will be sent to the local council for approval, after which a building permit and work order can be issued.
The new 2.73‑km thoroughfare will connect Amsterdam Street with Aurel Vlaicu Boulevard via the Vivo Nord roundabout, featuring four traffic lanes (two each direction), a 14‑metre carriageway, 3.75‑metre sidewalks, green strips, a two‑way bicycle lane, and six bus stations equipped with shelters, benches and information panels. The aim is to divert traffic from the congested Tomis (DN2A) boulevard and stimulate development in the northern part of the city.
