Romanian museums unveil new exhibitions and Brâncuși collection
The Museum of Urban Civilization in Brașov has opened its shop to foreign and Romanian tourists, offering handmade objects created by local artisans and marketed as authentic souvenirs.
The Museum of Local History and Ethnography in Brad will host a special event on 8 August featuring portrait displays by Ana‑Maria Oprea and a pioneering "pictopoezie" workshop for children and adults.
The National Museum of Art in Bucharest has re‑opened its Brâncuși Gallery, displaying the largest collection of works signed by the famed sculptor after a secure transport from Rome, with free admission on the first Wednesday of each month.
An exhibition titled "Echoes in Heritage" will open on 10 September at Sutu Palace, showcasing a donation of 70 paintings, sculptures and decorative works made by BCR to the Bucharest Municipal Art Gallery, highlighting 20th‑century Romanian artists.
