Romanian museums host major cultural exhibitions and stamp launches

The National Museum of History of Romania is launching a special postage stamp series titled ‘Dacian Gold. Reunification of the Historical Treasure’. Created in partnership with Romfilatelia and the Romanian Post, the stamps feature illustrations by artist Mircea Cantor. The designs depict the Coțofenești helmet and two Dacian bracelets—exceptional historical artifacts that were stolen from the Drents Museum in the Netherlands in January 2025 and returned to Romania in 2026.

In Sfântu Gheorghe, the Hunting and Natural Sciences Museum is hosting a major exhibition of over 5,000 badges. This collection, featuring items from private collections including those of Ferenc Botos, Gabor Forro, and Laszlo Honcz, covers diverse themes such as sports, history, space exploration, and hunting. Organizers describe it as the largest and most diverse exhibition of its kind ever held in the city.
