Romanian officials issue alerts over bears on Transfăgărășan and in Sibiu

Separately, emergency services in Sibiu reported a bear sighting on Valea Avrigului and sent an RO‑ALERT message to residents, while a SMURD team was dispatched to the location. Authorities have increased warning signs and joint patrols of forest rangers and police in high‑risk areas to prevent further incidents.
