Romanian PNL internal conflict erupts as Alin Tișe attacks Ilie Bolojan; local spokesperson disputes in Suceava
Alin Tișe, a PNL deputy from Cluj, publicly denounced party leader Ilie Bolojan, accusing him of betraying the Romanian president, blocking funding for the Regional Emergency Hospital for Children in Cluj, politicising the project and harming local administrations. Tișe claimed Bolojan caused a fifty‑day political crisis and increased fiscal pressure on vulnerable citizens, saying “Să‑ţi fie ruşine, Ilie!”.
In a separate complaint, Alexandru Covașă, former PNL spokesperson in Suceava, wrote a lengthy letter to journalists alleging he was mis‑characterised as having switched from PNL to the PSD‑run mayor’s office. He mocked local officials, defended his actions, and highlighted internal tensions within the Suceava PNL branch, signing off as “Alex Covașă, vorbitor şi el încă din fașă”.
