Police in Neamț County detained three drivers for driving under the influence. The first stop on 18 June in Târgu‑Neamț recorded a 55‑year‑old driver with a breath‑alcohol level of 0.46 mg/L. Later that day in Bicaz, a 56‑year‑old driver registered 0.88 mg/L, and near midnight in Răucești a 53‑year‑old driver measured 0.82 mg/L. All three were issued criminal dossiers for the offence of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Separately, transport police in Galaţi intervened on an InterCity train after the train conductor reported a 47‑year‑old man from Râmnicu Sărat, Buzău, who was drinking, smoking and carrying a 23‑cm knife. The passenger was charged with illegal possession and use of a dangerous object, and a criminal investigation is ongoing.
