Romanian police raid Deva and crack down on drifting in Snagov and Bucharest

In Deva, the Hunedoara County Police Inspectorate carried out a large‑scale operation aimed at preventing antisocial behaviour. Over 250 people were checked, dozens of vehicles were stopped, six commercial premises were inspected and three fines totalling 5,000 lei were issued for violations of fiscal and registration regulations.

Separately, police units in Ilfov and Bucharest identified two locations where illegal drifting was taking place – one in Snagov and another in a commercial area of Bucharest. About 100 spectators and dozens of cars were present at each site. Criminal cases were opened against three men for obstructing traffic, 146 vehicles were inspected and 185 individuals were identified as part of the crackdown.
