Romanian authorities have recovered high-value vehicles in separate incidents that were being sought by German law enforcement.
In Satu Mare County, border police and Frontex officers located a German-registered vehicle in the courtyard of a property in Vama. The car, valued at approximately 87,000 lei, was listed as stolen with stolen documents or plates. German authorities had been searching for the vehicle since the beginning of the year to use as evidence in criminal proceedings. The car has been seized for further investigation.
In Bacău County, police conducted a search in Corbasca that led to the discovery of another German-registered vehicle valued at approximately 80,000 euros. This vehicle was also listed in international databases as being sought by German authorities. Investigators are working to determine how the vehicle arrived in the possession of the suspect, and Romanian officials have initiated judicial cooperation with German institutions to clarify the circumstances of the theft and transport.
