Romanian politics: PNL recruits EU funds expert as PSD attacks government talks

The PNL branch in Câmpulung (Argeș County) announced the accession of Remus Brăguță, a veteran specialist in European Union funding who has overseen projects that attracted more than €12 million for the Muscel area. The party highlighted his expertise as a way to identify concrete projects and modernise the city, presenting him as a professional committed to sustainable development.

At the national level, former investment minister Adrian Câciu launched a sharp criticism of PNL‑affiliated MEP Siegfried Mureșan, accusing him of political opportunism and questioning his right to comment on the formation of the new government. Câciu stated, “Siegfried, du-te la culcare! Soarta României nu se decide de către tine!” while Mureșan replied that PSD seeks to regain total power.
