Romanian PSD chief Sorin Grindeanu calls Siegfried Mureșan a “Bolojan smaller”
PSD president Sorin Grindeanu told Digi24 he will not vote for Siegfried Mureșan as prime minister, describing the candidate as “a Bolojan smaller”. Grindeanu said USR should remain in opposition and not join any future governing coalition. He also noted that USR leader Dominic Fritz “did not understand that he no longer has a party, because it is still led by Bolojan”. Grindeanu emphasized he has no internal vote in his party and that his stance may change if a so‑called “armistice government” mirrors the Tomac cabinet.
The remarks reflect ongoing tensions within Romania’s fragmented parliament as parties negotiate a possible coalition to end the current stalemate.
