Romanian schools promote local heritage through digital tools and festivals

In Gorj County, first‑grade pupils from Școala Gimnazială "Constantin Săvoiu" attended an interactive workshop at the Christian Tell County Library. Funded by the National Institute of Heritage, the project provided digital devices that let the children explore the historic library building, learn about Christian Tell and other local cultural assets, and engage with the material through games and interactive content.

In Bacău, the Grigore Antipa Technological High School hosted its annual Iei Festival. Students, teachers and families gathered to showcase traditional Romanian costumes, folk music and a parade, with the mayor of Bacău in attendance. The event also highlighted the school’s vocational programmes and handed out emergency “backpacks” to pupils as part of a safety partnership between the municipality and the emergency services inspectorate.
