A roundtable of leaders from five regional IT clusters—Digital Innovation Zone (Iași), Sibiu IT Cluster, Transilvania IT Cluster, Cluj IT Cluster and Vest Ventures (Timișoara)—concluded that Romania lacks a coherent national strategy for digital innovation, especially in artificial intelligence. Participants cited Estonia’s AI‑education plan as a model and called for coordinated government support to boost entrepreneurship, digitalisation of public services, and defence‑related tech funding.

In parallel, the “Scale Up Xperience” event scheduled for 27 May 2026 in Oradea will bring together entrepreneurs, AI specialists and marketing experts to offer practical solutions for business growth. The free, invitation‑only conference will cover AI integration, content marketing, e‑commerce optimisation, automation, podcasting for lead generation and growth‑hacking tactics, aiming to equip Romanian companies with actionable strategies amid a challenging economic climate.
