Romanian toddler rescued after being left alone at Hungarian gas station

On 5 June 2026, a Romanian toddler was inadvertently left by her parents at a fuel station in Hungary while the family was returning from Spain. The child, who had no identification documents, was reported on the Facebook group “Voluntari din Europa” by a Romanian user. Hungarian police were alerted and the child was safely reunited with her family shortly thereafter.
