Romanian towns roll out local infrastructure upgrades

The town of Năsăud began a three‑day project to modernise its electric grid, replacing overhead conductors and demolishing old poles. The works require temporary parking bans on several streets, including Păstră Gării, Vasile Nașcu, and Crinului, to protect workers and prevent accidents.

Meanwhile, the commune of Lumina is preparing a new road‑asphalting programme slated for 2026. The plan, financed from the local budget, targets streets in Lumina, Sibioara and Oituz, covering over 4 km of roads such as Aleea Narciselor, Strada Brândușelor and Strada Tineretului. Authorities are currently drafting technical designs and securing the necessary permits before construction can start.

Both initiatives are part of broader efforts by Romanian local administrations to improve public utilities and transport infrastructure for residents.
