Romanian Transport Minister Radu Miruță launches passenger complaint form for train service

Interim Transport Minister Radu Miruță said the ministry has received many complaints from Romanian rail users about problems such as non‑functioning air‑conditioning, delays, lack of information and poor travel conditions. After an unanswered call to the CFR call centre, he contacted the directors of CFR Călători and CFR Infrastructură and announced a new online questionnaire that anyone who experienced a setback on a train can fill out in a few clicks.

The form, launched on Monday, will collect data nationwide for at least two weeks. The ministry intends to analyse the responses to pinpoint the most serious issues on the railway network and to apply legal measures, including sanctions, where maintenance is paid for but not performed.
