Ferries from the Greek port of Keramoti to Limenas on Thassos Island sell tickets only at the dock. The alternative via Vama Veche follows the A2 motorway to Constanța, then DN39 to the border, adding about 350 km (≈ 14 hours) but avoids bridge bottlenecks. Both routes continue through Bulgaria, requiring an electronic vignette, and typically enter Greece at the Makaza‑Nymfaia border crossing.
