Romanian villages hit by two serious house fires

A large fire engulfed a home in Berevoești, Argeș County, destroying about 400 square metres of the house and an adjoining 32‑square‑metre outbuilding. Firefighters deployed three water‑foam trucks and a SMURD crew, extinguishing the blaze after several hours. No injuries were reported, but the owners faced significant material losses.

In Sărișoru Mare, Suceava County, a lightning strike sparked a blaze that consumed an animal shelter, a workshop, two wood stores and a mechanical workshop, covering roughly 200 square metres. Three fire engines and a SMURD ambulance, supported by volunteers, fought the fire for three and a half hours, preventing it from reaching nearby residences. Again, there were no human casualties, though substantial property damage was recorded.
