Romanian vocational students gain professional skills through European projects
Vocational and technical students in Romania's Alba and Slatina regions have completed several European-funded projects designed to bridge the gap between education and the labor market.
In Alba County, three projects totaling over 7.35 million lei enabled 776 students to participate in internships with local economic operators. Of these, 739 students successfully obtained professional competency certifications. These initiatives, implemented between November 2024 and October 2026, involved partnerships with various technological high schools, including Liceul Tehnologic Sebeș and high schools in Blaj.
Similarly, the Petre S. Aurelian Economic High School in Slatina concluded the “Innovative Internship Stages for Student Inclusion” project. This initiative provided 260 students with internships and scholarships, resulting in 247 participants earning professional qualifications. The project, led by INSPIRE FONDURI SRL in partnership with INSPIRE TRAINING SRL, established 30 partnerships with commercial companies and specialized offices to provide hands-on training under professional tutors.
