Romanian weekend festivals spotlight steampunk art and Armenian culture

On July 31 and August 1, Constanța’s Archaeological Park will host a steampunk‑themed weekend as part of the city’s larger festival. The event, titled “Mechanical Map of the City,” transforms familiar streets and buildings into imagined inventions and offers free admission, children’s workshops, live performances, outdoor film screenings and a community art exhibition that will later be displayed on September 6.

From July 31 to August 2, Bucharest’s Botanical Garden will hold the “Strada Armenească” festival. Tickets cost 15 lei for adults and 10 lei for students, pensioners and children. The program includes concerts by Romanian bands such as Subcarpaţi and Bosquito, together with Armenian artists like Hayk Karoyi and Anna Kostanyan, plus exhibitions of traditional Armenian crafts, photography and illustrations. The three‑day festival also provides workshops, culinary tastings and activities for families.
