Romania's ANPIS advances child and parental benefits to Aug 7, 2026

The National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS) announced that, because the scheduled payment date of 8 August 2026 falls on a non‑working day, the state child allowance, the child‑raising indemnity and the insertion incentive will be transferred a day earlier, on Friday 7 August 2026. The advance applies to bank‑account recipients nationwide.

The benefits cover more than 3.3 million children, about 146 000 parents receiving the child‑raising indemnity and roughly 69 000 parents eligible for the insertion incentive. Recipients who opted for postal mandates will receive their sums from 10 August, while the rights of approximately 930 000 persons with disabilities will be paid from 14 August. Additional social benefits – monthly food allowances for people living with HIV/SIDA, foster‑care allowances, TB food allowances and the minimum inclusion income – will be disbursed starting 20 August. ANPIS reports that around 8 million Romanians currently receive social‑security benefits, with total monthly outlays close to 3 billion lei.
