Four individuals — two women and two men aged 23 to 34 — were placed in preventive detention for alleged cocaine trafficking. Prosecutors from DIICOT’s Craiova territorial service said the suspects procured, possessed and sold cocaine between March and June 2026 in Bucharest, Ilfov County and Dolj County, charging between 800 and 6,000 lei per transaction. Six house searches on 23 July 2026 resulted in the seizure of cocaine quantities intended for market distribution and the collection of evidential material. The investigation was carried out by the Craiova Organized‑Crime Brigade together with mobile gendarmerie units, and the court ordered a 30‑day preventive arrest for each suspect.
