Romania's logistics firms and recruiters warn AI will reshape job roles

Raben Romania explains that artificial intelligence is being used to automate repetitive logistics tasks such as data entry, basic customer‑service queries and simple planning, while still requiring human intervention for real‑time decisions, incident handling and client relationships. The company says AI acts as a performance multiplier, reducing manual errors and supporting cost optimisation, but roles like dispatchers, operational coordinators, warehouse managers, account managers and drivers remain essential.

Lugera & Makler Romania’s country manager Bogdan Gabor adds that AI adoption is spreading across sectors – 17 % of placements are in automotive, 20 % in IT and 15 % in FMCG – and that the most valuable employee attribute is the willingness to learn and use new digital tools. He cautions that without embracing AI and other software solutions, workers risk being left behind, even in traditionally non‑technical occupations.
