Romania's Sorin Grindeanu accused of lying by AUR senator Petrișor Peiu

AUR senator Petrișor Peiu posted on Facebook accusing PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu of fabricating claims that AUR’s votes keep Ilie Bolojan in office as interim prime minister. Peiu said Grindeanu "descoperit faptul ca Ilie Bolojan a rămas premier interimar" and that he invented the motive that "voturile AUR" sustain Bolojan.

Peiu recalled that Grindeanu himself led the investiture session for Bolojan’s government, providing roughly 40% of the votes needed, and that PSD had supported Bolojan’s economic measures while opposing several AUR‑led motions of censure. Grindeanu had earlier argued that AUR’s support prevented Bolojan’s removal, but the Bolojan cabinet fell after a joint PSDAUR motion of no confidence, and PSD later declined to form a majority with AUR for the next government.
