Italy reports multiple incidents involving minors and emergency medical transfers
Several incidents involving minors have been reported across Italy. In Rome, a 14-year-old girl used the international ‘Signal for Help’ hand gesture to alert police officers to an attempted sexual assault by her mother’s partner. The 47-year-old man was arrested after the girl signaled from a parked car, and her mother has since filed charges.
In Sarno, a 13-year-old boy was hospitalized following an assault by a group of minors during an attempted theft of his electric bicycle. The incident was reportedly interrupted by a bystander.
Medical emergencies involving children also drew attention. In Udine, an 11-year-old girl died following a car accident that also left her 4-year-old sister in intensive care. In another case, an 8-year-old boy in Campobasso is showing signs of improvement after being awakened from a medically induced coma following a severe head injury caused by a falling locker. Additionally, the Italian Air Force conducted an urgent medical flight to transport a critically ill youth from Cagliari to Milan for specialized treatment.
