Rome authorities fine three slot machine venues for operating outside permitted hours

Authorities in Rome have issued fines totaling 15,000 euros to three slot machine venues for operating outside of the hours permitted by municipal regulations. The enforcement action was part of an extraordinary operation conducted by the Guardia di Finanza in the VI and X Municipalities to prevent pathological gambling.

During the inspections, officers found gaming machines still operational during mandatory suspension periods. The operation involved over 80 personnel, including canine units and aerial support, as part of broader oversight regarding the legal operation of entertainment devices involving cash prizes.
