Rome East experiences series of commercial bombings

A series of bombings targeting commercial businesses in eastern Rome has escalated, with six explosive devices reported in approximately 40 days. The most recent incidents occurred overnight between Friday and Saturday, striking multiple locations in the Alessandrino, Don Bosco, and Casilina areas.

One explosion targeted a slot machine hall in Alessandrino, damaging nearby vehicles. Another device struck a winery in the Don Bosco district, reportedly launched from a vehicle with obscured license plates. A third blast hit a car rental agency on via Casilina, damaging its storefront and a parked vehicle. No injuries have been reported.

Investigators from the police and the prosecutor's office are examining whether these attacks are linked or part of a coordinated campaign. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage to identify suspects and are also investigating whether the history of certain business owners might be connected to the recent violence. This surge in activity follows a previous wave of attacks on businesses such as bakeries and barbershops that occurred in late August.
