Rome's Parco del Colle Oppio hosts Celebrity Games 2026

The fifth edition of the Celebrity Games will take place in Rome’s Parco del Colle Oppio until 19 July 2026. The two‑week event transforms the historic park into a basketball village with two courts, food and beverage areas, changing rooms and public facilities. It aims to promote basketball as a tool for social inclusion, education and community building.

The programme features 3×3 and 5‑on‑5 tournaments for men, women, mixed and amateur teams, as well as minibasket activities for children. Inclusive sport is highlighted through competitions for the deaf national team, wheelchair basketball and other accessibility‑focused events. An institutional tournament will see teams from the Italian Parliament, the Rome municipality, the Lazio region and the Sport and Health department compete.

Cultural components include book presentations, film screenings, listening parties and musical accompaniment, with extended entertainment on weekend evenings. The event is open to professional athletes, amateurs, institutions, associations and the public, emphasizing participation, fair play and the social value of basketball.
