Rome hosts major exhibitions for Keith Haring and Robert Mapplethorpe

Rome is hosting two major art exhibitions. A large-scale exhibition dedicated to Keith Haring is scheduled at the Museo di Roma – Palazzo Braschi from October 6, 2026, to April 11, 2027. The showcase will feature over 140 works, including significant loans from the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection. The exhibition will trace Haring’s creative evolution from his early New York works and Subway Drawings to his political posters and sculptures, highlighting his connection to Italy.

Additionally, the Robert Mapplethorpe exhibition, ‘Le forme della bellezza,’ currently at the Museo dell’Ara Pacis, will hold special evening openings until 10:00 PM during its final two weekends, ending October 4, 2026. The retrospective includes over 200 works, such as iconic portraits of figures like Yoko Ono and Richard Gere, as well as studies of classical sculpture and nature morte.
