Rome hosts new exhibitions at Villa Albani Torlonia and Galleria Nazionale
Rome is hosting two significant cultural events. The Antiquarium of Villa Albani Torlonia is offering special guided tours of the Torlonia Collection. Housed in the villa's ancient stables, the exhibition features statues, portraits, reliefs, and architectural elements. A specific focus, ‘Marmora Romana’, explores the diverse variety of marbles used in antiquity, highlighting how colorful stones from across the Mediterranean—including Egypt, Greece, and Africa—were used to display wealth and prestige.
Additionally, the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea will host ‘Corpi Speciali’, an exhibition by photographers Luigi & Iango organized by Tenderstories. Running from October 13 to November 29, 2026, the exhibition features over 200 photographs. The project aims to explore the human body as a reflection of modern fragility, individuality, and metamorphosis, moving beyond conventional imagery to showcase diverse physical forms.
