Rome jogger rescues fox from attempted animal cruelty

A jogger in Rome intervened to save a young fox from a group of youths in the Parco dell’Appia Antica. The group was reportedly attempting to strangle the animal with a rope.

The man successfully drove the group away and transported the fox to the Lipu wildlife rescue station in Villa Borghese. While the animal is receiving intensive veterinary care, officials at the center stated that the fox remains in critical condition and is fighting for its life.
