Rome minicar attacks: Actor Davide Iacopini shows signs of improvement

Davide Iacopini, an actor known for his role in Suburra, is showing gradual signs of improvement while remaining in intensive care at Rome's San Camillo-Forlanini hospital. Iacopini was critically injured on October 5 in the Monteverde district after being struck by a minicar while riding a scooter. He has already undergone two neurosurgical procedures, and medical staff have begun reducing his sedation to facilitate waking up.

Two minors have been questioned by juvenile prosecutors regarding the incidents. The suspects, who operated the minicar through the Monteverde and Testaccio neighborhoods, reportedly claimed they were hitting people at random without a specific plan or premeditated scheme. They expressed regret to investigators, stating they did not realize the severity of the harm they were causing. The minicar involved in the series of assaults has been seized by authorities.
