Rome police arrest man for stalking railway station employee

A 20-year-old man has been arrested for stalking an employee at the Roma Termini railway station. The individual, originally from Guinea, reportedly spent hours observing the victim while she worked and used various methods to obtain her phone number.

The harassment lasted nearly a year, beginning after the victim assisted the man with a commercial transaction in the summer of 2025. The suspect allegedly made continuous, unwanted requests for meetings and contacted the victim using multiple phone numbers despite repeated refusals.

Following an investigation by the Polizia Ferroviaria, officers observed the man loitering near automatic ticket machines while watching the victim. Due to a violation of a restraining order, the judiciary has ordered the man to be held in custody.
