Natalia Potenza provides 1,200 pages of documents in Ranucci bombing probe

Natalia Potenza, the former partner of Valter Lavitola, has provided significant testimony and documentation to the Rome District Antimafia Directorate regarding the investigation into the bombing of journalist Sigfrido Ranucci. During a ten-hour interrogation, Potenza submitted 1,200 pages of documents, including bank records and fiscal acts, aimed at reconstructing Lavitola's complex financial activities and international business network spanning Montenegro, Brazil, Argentina, and Cameroon.

Potenza denied any prior knowledge of the bomb placed near Ranucci's home in Pomezia on October 16, 2025. She also provided details regarding the relationship between Lavitola and Ranucci, claiming they met without mobile phones five days after the attack. This testimony contradicts previous narratives and suggests a potential meeting between the alleged mastermind and the victim.

Sigfrido Ranucci has vehemently denied any financial ties to Lavitola, stating, “Absolutely no, not even one euro.” He has also criticized the media coverage of the case, describing it as “character assassination,” and announced plans to file numerous lawsuits for damages following his removal from the television program Report. The investigation continues to examine potential international money laundering and the use of shell companies.
