Romeo Zema slams Flávio Bolsonaro and is mocked for simple lunch video

Romeo Zema, former governor of Minas Gerais and presidential pre‑candidate for the Novo party, said he was “very disappointed” with Senator Flávio Bolsonaro over the latter’s contact with banker Daniel Vorcaro. Zema argued he does not break with Bolsonarism but with any practice he has always condemned as corrupt, stating, “I’m breaking with what I condemn, I have always condemned corruption. Whoever is on the side of the corrupt, don’t count on me.” He said he has seen no convincing explanation for the senator’s link to Vorcaro and emphasized his outsider, entrepreneurial background.

Separately, Zema posted a video of his weekend lunch boxes, showing pork, fish, salads and other items, and explained that he lives alone in Belo Horizonte and does not cook. The clip prompted a wave of online ridicule, with users commenting that “simplicity is everything in an election year” and questioning the relevance of such a display to the electoral campaign.
