Roncoferraro pig farm fire damages solar panels

An agricultural structure in the Casale locality of Roncoferraro was struck by a fire involving a photovoltaic system. The blaze originated on the roof of a pig farm, directly affecting approximately 15 solar panels.

Firefighters responded to numerous calls from citizens and passersby, deploying nine operators and three strategic vehicles equipped for industrial and civil fires. The crews managed to contain and extinguish the flames before they could spread to the interior of the pig farm or the rest of the structure. Following the containment, personnel worked to isolate the damaged modules and secure the electrical system. Technical investigations are currently underway to determine the cause, with preliminary assessments suggesting a possible short circuit or electrical component malfunction.
