Agricultural fires in Soliera, Italy

Overview

On October 6, 2026, a large fire occurred in Soliera, Italy, on via Foschiera near the Sozzigalli district. The blaze destroyed a hay barn containing roughly 500 round bales and caused damage to an asbestos-cement warehouse roof.

Emergency responders, including firefighters, local police, and Civil Protection volunteers, managed the site alongside technicians from Arpae and Ausl. While initial gas measurements in nearby Limidi did not indicate significant levels of harmful compounds, environmental monitoring and sampling remain ongoing.
