Rondonópolis officials propose economic incentives and budget hearings

The Rondonópolis City Council is conducting its final public hearing regarding the 2027 municipal budget in the Salmen region. This session, held at Unisal, allows residents to discuss proposals for the Budgetary Guidelines Law (LDO) and the Annual Budget Law (LOA), following previous meetings in Vila Operária and at the City Council.

Separately, Mayor Cláudio Ferreira and Finance Secretary Rane Curto have introduced two new programs, ‘Regulariza’ and ‘Avança Rondonópolis,’ aimed at stimulating the local real estate and construction sectors. The ‘Regulariza’ program seeks to assist property owners with title transfers by reducing the ITBI tax from 2% to 0.5% and waiving interest and fines on overdue IPTU.

The ‘Avança Rondonópolis’ initiative targets construction and land development by reducing the ITBI from 2% to 1% for land acquisitions, offering IPTU exemptions during construction, and providing discounts on IPTU for completed units. These proposals are scheduled for a vote in the City Council next week.
