Rosario Murillo announces community visits to Rivas, Nicaragua

Nicaraguan Co-President Rosario Murillo has announced a series of community visits to the Rivas department as part of activities related to the country's sovereign democracy consultations.

The scheduled itinerary includes meetings with families and communities in Tola, covering areas such as Potosí, Belén, and Buenos Aires. On Saturday, activities will continue in San Juan del Sur, Cárdenas, and San Jorge. The weekend will conclude on Sunday with visits to the municipalities of Altagracia and Moyogalpa on Ometepe Island.

During her announcement, Murillo paid tribute to national hero Gaspar García Laviana, describing his legacy as a model of Christian, socialist, and solidarity values. She also honored those killed during past armed conflicts whose remains are located in the Tola parish.
