Rosario Murillo announces political encounters and peace initiatives in Nicaragua

Nicaraguan Copresident Rosario Murillo has announced a series of national activities focused on religious celebrations, traditional festivities, and political engagement. Murillo emphasized peace, faith, and fraternity as essential pillars for Nicaraguan families, describing peace as a “vital force” necessary for life and development.

Additionally, Murillo detailed the continuation of the “Hay Patria” encounters, which she described as a sovereign consultation of direct democracy. These meetings are scheduled to take place in various regions, including Jinotepe, Rivas, and the San Carlos area near the San Juan River. The itinerary includes commemorations of historical events, such as the anniversary of the takeover of the San Carlos barracks, and tributes to fallen comrades.

Murillo also noted the upcoming launch of the “victorious insurrectionary offensive” strategy in Ocotal and the Segovias region on October 17. She stated that these efforts aim to collect the people's mandate to support constitutional reforms intended to guarantee security, stability, and prosperity through peace.
