Rostock expands cycling network; Erkner opens station bike parking

Rostock is expanding its cycling infrastructure with new segments of its rapid-cycle network, new bridges for cyclists and pedestrians, and additional bike parking provisions and stands. The aim is to make cycling in the Hanseatic city safer and easier for residents and visitors.

In Erkner, new Park+Ride bicycle parking facilities were inaugurated at the town’s train stations. The move is part of a broader effort by the state to attract more commuters to use bicycles in combination with rail travel.
