Rotary Clubs deliver maternal health kits in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria

In Lagos, the Rotary Club of Revolution Lagos distributed more than 200 delivery kits to pregnant women registered at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. The kits included items such as a bathtub, nursing bag, cord clamps, sanitary pads and other birth supplies. Club President Dr Bonaventure Igboanugo said the giveaway was part of Rotary’s July Maternal and Child Health Month and aimed to ease delivery costs for mothers.

In the Abuja suburb of Kubwa, the Rotary Club of Abuja, Kubwa donated mattresses to the Accident and Emergency ward of Kubwa General Hospital and birthing kits and mosquito nets to pregnant women and nursing mothers at Kungabokun Primary Health Centre. Club president Rotarian Nosa Aiyemen said the donations reflected Rotary’s commitment to humanitarian service and complemented government health efforts.
