Rotary Clubs in Cancun and Colón Appoint New Presidents

Verónica Gloria Acacio Trujillo was installed as president of the Rotary Club Cancún Conmemorativo for the 2026‑2027 term. The ceremony took place at the Hotel Kempinski in Cancun’s hotel zone and was attended by local government officials, diplomats, and business leaders. Acacio, a lawyer, outlined plans to expand the club’s existing humanitarian programs, including school infrastructure upgrades, medical brigades, gender‑equity initiatives and disaster‑relief support.

In Colón, Argentina, Fernando Cattelotti succeeded Jorge Muñoz as president of the Rotary Club de Colón. The renewal ceremony featured municipal representatives and highlighted recent projects such as the "Ver Bien para Aprender Mejor" eyewear campaign that provided glasses to more than 120 children, a leadership‑training seminar for service leaders, and Rotary’s contribution to World Polio Day awareness. The new board pledged to continue collaborations with municipal authorities and community groups.
