Service club leadership changes across Latin America

Overview

The mid‑June to early‑August 2026 wave of service‑club officer transitions now spans dozens of additional Rotary and Lions clubs across Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Bolivia, Paraguay and the Caribbean. In Brazil, new presidents were installed at clubs in Araras, Jundiaí, Três Lagoas, Palotina, Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paranaguá, Herval d’Oeste and Aparecida de Goiânia, each pledging to continue local water‑purification, health‑care, education and environmental projects. Argentine clubs in Costa del Inmigrante, Venado Tuerto, San Rafael Centro, Monte Hermoso, Colón and 9 de Julio announced leadership changes and reaffirmed commitments to scholarships, orthopedic banks and youth exchanges. Uruguay’s Costa del Inmigrante and the Lions Club of Colonia Valdense installed new boards, while the Rotary Club of Gijón (Spain) and the Lions Club of Carlos Casares (Argentina) also reported new presidents. Mexican clubs in Cancun, Saltillo, Ramos Arizpe and San José del Cabo continued water‑potabilisation, mangrove restoration and social‑service programmes. New leaders in Bolivia (Montero) and Paraguay (Paranaguá) outlined plans to expand health‑surgery funding and social‑action initiatives. Across the region, ceremonies consistently highlighted the Rotary International theme “Create lasting impact,” underscoring a coordinated effort to sustain and broaden community‑service impact throughout Latin America and neighboring areas.
