Rotkäppchen-Mumm pivots to non-alcoholic drinks amid declining alcohol consumption

Rotkäppchen-Mumm CEO Silvia Wiesner is shifting the company's strategic focus toward non-alcoholic beverages in response to declining alcohol consumption in Germany. While sparkling wine remains the core business, accounting for approximately half of the company's revenue, the sales of non-alcoholic drinks have more than doubled over the last four years.

Wiesner aims to transform the company from Germany's leading sparkling wine producer into a leading provider of enjoyment beverages overall, encompassing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Despite the growth in the non-alcoholic sector, Wiesner noted that these products cannot fully offset losses in the traditional core business, which faced a challenging market environment in 2025.
