Royal BAM Group to acquire A. Hak for €504 million
Royal BAM Group N.V. has agreed to acquire A. Hak, a specialist in underground infrastructure, in a deal valued at approximately €504 million. The acquisition is intended to strengthen BAM’s position within the growing Dutch markets for energy and water infrastructure.
A. Hak specializes in the installation of transport pipelines for gas, water, and electricity. The company is expected to generate revenues of roughly €425 million in 2026 and maintains an order backlog of €1 billion for the 2027–2031 period. While primarily active in the Netherlands, A. Hak also operates in Belgium and the United Kingdom.
BAM stated that the transaction is a growth acquisition aimed at meeting the high demand for the energy and water transition. Following the takeover, A. Hak will continue to operate independently under its own name and management, with approximately 900 employees. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
