Royal BAM Group infrastructure acquisitions

Overview

Royal BAM Group N.V. has initiated a series of acquisitions to strengthen its position in the Dutch energy and water infrastructure markets. In October 2026, the company agreed to acquire A. Hak, a specialist in underground transport pipelines for gas, water, and electricity, in a deal valued at approximately €504 million. A. Hak is expected to maintain its independent operations and management following the takeover, which is slated to close in the first quarter of 2027.

Shortly thereafter, BAM announced the acquisition of a 40 percent stake in Van Leeuwen Sleuven Techniek (VLST), a specialist in horizontal directional drilling (HDD). This investment, valued at approximately €45 million, aims to bolster BAM’s capabilities in installing underground cables and pipelines. The VLST transaction is also expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2027.
