Royal Enfield Announces New Adventure Bikes and Expands Production in India

Royal Enfield is set to broaden its adventure motorcycle lineup in India with models such as the Himalayan 750, Hero MotoCorp’s Xpulse 421, and Norton’s Atlas and Atlas GT. The Himalayan 750 is expected to feature a 750 cc twin‑cylinder engine, 6‑speed gearbox and premium accessories, with a price around Rs 4 lakh. Hero’s Xpulse 421 will use a 421 cc liquid‑cooled engine and is priced near Rs 3 lakh, while Norton’s Atlas duo will be priced between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 6 lakh. These launches are slated for later in 2026.

In parallel, Royal Enfield’s FY2027 plan includes five all‑new motorcycles—Himalayan 440, Scram 450, Bullet 650, Himalayan 750 and Continental GT 750—plus updates to 13 existing models. The company aims to raise annual production from 12.4 lakh to about 13.2 lakh units. To support this, a new manufacturing facility and vendor park are being built in Satyavedu, Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of Rs 2,200 crore. When fully operational, the plant will add 9 lakh units of capacity and create roughly 5,000 direct and indirect jobs.
