Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 spotted at dealerships ahead of launch

Leaked images and sightings at dealer stockyards have provided a preview of the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 ahead of its scheduled launch on September 4, 2026, in India. The new adventure motorcycle is expected to serve as the spiritual successor to the discontinued Himalayan 411.

The Himalayan 440 is anticipated to be positioned between the Scram 440 and the Himalayan 450 in terms of pricing and features. It is expected to utilize the LS440 engine platform. Visible features in recent sightings include an analogue-digital instrument cluster consisting of a large circular speedometer with a small LCD screen, alongside a separate Tripper Navigation pod for Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation.

Technical specifications suggest the bike will feature 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with tubed dual-purpose tyres. While it may include switchable ABS, it is expected to lack premium features such as ride modes or traction control. The design is expected to draw inspiration from the Himalayan 411 while maintaining a sleek rear profile with traditional halogen turn indicators.
