Royal Enfield announces Himalayan 440 launch and Continental GT 650 updates

Royal Enfield has announced several major updates to its motorcycle lineup and upcoming events. The company is set to launch the Himalayan 440 on September 4, 2026, in Leh, Ladakh. This new adventure motorcycle will feature a 443cc single-cylinder engine producing approximately 25 bhp and 34-35 Nm of torque, positioned between the Scram 440 and Himalayan 450. It is expected to replace the Himalayan 411, maintaining a design inspired by its predecessor but with modern features like a TFT display with Google Maps mirroring and 21-inch front wheels.

Additionally, the updated Continental GT 650 cafe racer has been launched in India with prices ranging from Rs 3.58 lakh to Rs 3.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 model introduces new styling elements, including LED turn signals, a USB Type-C charging port, and a black-painted instrument cowl. While the 648cc parallel-twin engine remains unchanged, the Rocker Red variant now features a blacked-out engine, exhaust, and cast alloy wheels.

In related news, Royal Enfield will host the Himalayan Basecamp 2026 in Leh from September 4-6, 2026. The event will feature a lineup of expedition riders, musicians, and athletes, offering masterclasses and guided expeditions through the Ladakh region.
